The Train Ride To Change
The rails have taken many to a different place
A change of scenery is needed for a permanent escape
The plane ride is an option, but the nature watcher refuses
What pleasure is there, in staring at a sky absent of trees
The clickety-clack of the steel wheels to track
Is an eerily, soothing sound to the rail rider
Going through different towns, feels like a video tour to them
A much farther journey, than the train excursion within city limits only
They have fellow passengers as well
Never is a ride like this a solo trip without strangers
Conversations can likely happen, as the ride is long
Perhaps a good way to fill the time, much to discuss within this land
At some point this rail journey will end
Another place that one will begin to unpack one's bags
The reach of the final stop is somewhat bittersweet
There's an ending and a beginning, happening simultaneously
